A city that is free from cars is a city with more space to share among pedestrians and cyclists. Cars tend to need a lot of space and in many cities cars compete with other means of transport for space. It would help cyclists a lot if there would be special bike-lines, and when the roads in the city are especially organised for bikes. A car free city is one step further towards more sustainability.
