Free Ideas are ideas anyone is free to use and adopt to their own specific context. You will find lots of examples of Free Ideas throughout Sharewiki. These ideas are then grounded in the Commons.

The idea of a Free Idea is based on the same principles of Free Software, software whose license guarantees the user the right to

  • use his tool for whatever purpose, to
  • study how it works, to
  • share it with whoever he wants (under the same conditions) and to
  • alter it (and also share the results) - to build on the work and help to improve it, for example.
