Where is the best city for us to live:

Brussels

Pros

  • Belgians are cool!
  • Brussels has a perfect atmosphere.
  • Very central for the interesting parts of Europe.
  • Very central in Belgium (all cities are cute in Belgium).
  • Belgium is not a nation-state. People are used to other cultures.
  • Can learn a new language.
  • guaka and Dante. ;)

Elsy

  • Brussels is relatively near to Hamburg. (Important if keeping current job)
  • Very international, good to find a new job if necessary.

Julien

Cons

  • Weather
  • Belgium is a small country. You cross a border quickly. And borders suck.
  • Higher criminality (?)
  • Expensive

Elsy

Julien

  • Most people speak french.

Lyon

Pros

  • Probably the best city in France.
  • Mountain is not far.
  • We'll probably end up here at some point in the future. The question is, do we want to move in here now?

Elsy

  • Probably easier to get a visa because I already lived there.

Julien

  • It's in France, way easier for the paper-society.
  • Can start a business way more easily (I suppose) than as a stranger.

Cons

Elsy

  • The worst location to keep current job. (?)

Julien

  • It's in France. French people piss me off.
  • France is a very internet-retarded country.

Barcelona

Pros

  • Can learn a new language.
  • BIG city. Bigger than the others.
  • International city.
  • Beach, mountain not far.
  • Least expensive
  • Mirto is living here (opening a nomad space at the moment)

Elsy

  • The best location to keep current job (?)
  • Relative advantage to find a job due to the language
  • My favourite city of all three

Julien

  • Big nomadbase potential :D
  • Good tech background in Spain.
  • Lots of punks.

Cons

  • Terrible geographic location in Europe.
  • Crisis hit Spain more than any other country in Europe. Lots of unemployed.

Elsy

  • People are racist against Americans.
  • Spanish people piss me off.
  • Probably difficult to get visa (too many latinamericans)

Julien

  • It's in Spain. Latin people piss me off. Even more than the french.
  • Lots of hippies.
  • Lots of nationalists.

Other

  • What about Lille? Still France but more central than Lyon and near to Brussels.
