Oxfam International is a confederation of 13 organizations working with over 3,000 partners in more than 100 countries "to find lasting solutions to poverty and injustice".

Oxfam has lots of shops all over the world, which sell many fair-trade items and clothing. The proceeds from these usually get paid to different charities or are used to further Oxfam's relief efforts around the globe. They rely on people donating things for free.

Critics

  • They sell products which have been given away for free which recapitalizes them.
  • They support projects which only can alleviate suffering but never solve problems.
  • The workers get money which is a difference to Give-away shops.
